MASHVILLE’S 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SHOW
Yung & Ugly celebrated it’s third year of throwing their monthly DJ showcase, Mashville, by inviting everybody around to The Mercy Lounge for a night on the town.
The night started off with the early crowd getting their hands on DJ Wick-it’s specially-made anniversary album and catching the set of Mashville resident and co-founder, DJ Orig. Visual’s were being presented throughout the show thanks to Bateman Design. There was also a performance from a group new to Mashville. Though their DJ, who goes by Suspicion, has previously wrecked shop on our stage, we were not as acquainted to his new project. Remsteele hit the stage hard, and grabbed the crowd up with their swaggered raps and energized presence.

Listen to Wick-it’s album here, and follow the link to download for free or even buy the CD. You can get the album in any format you need, thanks to Bandcamp!
This album has some real bangers on it. The Black Keys vs. Big Boi mashup is so classic already, you just lost -15pts to your ‘I-know-whats-up’ score for life - if you haven’t heard it yet, that is. Also taking the internet by storm is the ‘Bed Intruder’ dubstep monster, the Mashville memery you knew was coming.
Back to the show…
We found out before the show that DJ Kidsmeal was being called away to perform with a project him and his brother have been working on, Sam & Tre. You’ll be hearing a lot more about them in not-to-far-off future. Due to this, it came down to Wick-it, Bateman, and Mike Vulcan holding the rest of the night. That was a task met head on as Bateman threw down a show-stealing set, Wick-it followed up strong with new material and a crowd full of face, and then Mike shut it down with a set full of heaters.
Photographs were being taken by Robert Livingston and will be made available soon! The whole night was recorded, so expect to run the night back when the tracks get upped!
